Charlene has been an integral part of Macquarie since joining the Market Operations team in London in 2015. Her career journey has taken her from London to Australia, and relocating back to London in 2020. Currently, Charlene is an Associate Director, where she oversees post-trade services for the Commodities Desks and manages a team of 16 in London and Dublin. With over 19 years of experience in Operations, Charlene excels in enhancing operational efficiencies and fostering a dynamic, inclusive workplace. Charlene has played a pivotal role in advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion at Macquarie. As a former co-chair of Fusion, Macquarie’s multicultural employee network group, and a key figure in DEI initiatives, she has significantly contributed to promoting inclusivity within the firm and the broader finance sector. Her leadership in antiracism, allyship, and the formation of the Black Employees @ Macquarie (BEAM) EMEA group underscores her unwavering commitment to diversity and empowerment. In 2025, Charlene was selected as an Inspirational Role Model of the Year finalist in the British Diversity Awards, further highlighting her impact and dedication to fostering an inclusive environment.
