Keisha Eve

Position:

Competition Policy Manager

Company:

National Energy System Operator (NESO)

Bio:

  • Big picture thinker, who places a premium on creating new possibilities for and with people, working inclusively at all levels to build strategies and deliver the right outcomes.
  • I am MBA qualified, Olin School of Business Massachusetts, with more than 20 years’ experience providing strategic leadership & insight – predominantly within the energy sector in large, complex regulated businesses. I’ve provided performance insights on London Underground’s Public Private Partnership, City Police & Fire & Emergency Planning Services, shaped regulatory and strategic growth opportunities at National Grid Wireless Ltd and led strategic industrial & commercial growth initiatives at Npower Business. At NESO, I have facilitated the business, as part of a strategy unit, in the development of its first Corporate Strategy and I am currently working on introducing competition to electricity transmission asset space.
  • Although I love the complexity, scale, and the impact of work in regulated businesses within the energy system, I have come from a small island and a single parent home, with no head starts in terms of education career options. So, I have always been acutely aware of the power of small things, grass roots and small beginnings both in people, and in ventures , in healthy growth processes. My work in larger organisations is interweaved with voluntary coaching of small business leaders and service as vice chair of a small village school, and on the board of the trustees of faith-based organisation.
  • Working on our DEIB and Employee Resource Groups at NESO on strategy over the course of a year was a meaningful opportunity to come alongside our visionary DEIB manager in work with diverse leaders spanning executive sponsors, the HR leaders and a large varied mix employee resource group chairs to enrich the experience of NESO colleagues through a bottom-up, cohesive strategy that is supportive of NESO’s purpose, vision, values and direction.
  • I am Caribbean born – Trinidad and Tobago, with a British born husband and a blended family of 3 beautiful daughters. No pets of our own at present, but many lovely birds and other forms of life to enjoy around us, all year round.

Sessions:

  • Networks supporting the D&I strategy and increasing their value to the business
    • Why and how does the strategy team at NESO work with employee networks?
    • Creating four-year strategy plans for employee networks across the business that are all aligned, with leaders clear on their remit
    • Examples of questions to ask in the planning stage and anticipated strategic outcomes

    Day: 11 March 2026

    Time: 13:50
