André is Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Manager at Milbank LLP and a Trustee of the Bridge Group.
André has specialized in talent attraction, recruitment and retention as well as Diversity & Inclusion for over ten years. Prior to moving to Milbank, he was the Head of Diversity, Inclusion & Wellbeing at WHSmith plc, setting its first D&I strategy and advising on inclusive product lines.
At diversity recruitment specialists, Rare, amongst other things, he helped to launch the Contextual Recruitment System, a pioneering socioeconomic disadvantage assessment tool for recruiters. At both Deutsche Bank and Linklaters, he supported their early careers activities, devising the social mobility and early careers D&I strategy in the latter. He is the originator of their global Making Links brand and scholarships, and led the firm to become a Top 15 firm in the Social Mobility Employer Index. He has also consulted at Marfarlanes LLP, supporting on a range of areas including graduate recruitment for which the team has won accolades.
