The Diversity and Inclusion team are looking for a motivated team member to help us to deliver a wide range of projects to support the Royal Society’s commitment to increasing diversity and inclusion in the scientific workforce. The successful candidate will be involved in projects from early scoping to delivery and support the team with administrative tasks throughout.
This role will include on the job training and mentoring to build your knowledge of project administration, diversity and inclusion considerations and customer relationship management. The role will contain a mixture of week-to-week responsibilities and focused projects which have a completion date.
Our projects aim to seek out participation from underrepresented groups to build and develop a world in which studying and working in science is open to all. The Society’s Diversity Strategy for 2023-28 sets out how the Society will use its convening power and leadership to build a diverse and inclusive scientific community. The team will work on the objectives of the strategy and build on work we have already completed.
Reports to: Diversity and Inclusion Programme Manager
Location: Carlton House Terrace, London, plus hybrid working
Hours: 35 hours per week, full time
Pay Band: B
Salary: £24,584-£30,730 per annum
Contract type: fixed term contract, 18 months
