The role

In your role as Head of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI), you will play an play an influential role in creating a culture at Manchester Airport Group (MAG), where every colleague can bring the best version of themselves to work. Working in partnership with the Talent & Diversity Director, you will set the tone for continually evolving and executing the EDI strategy, ensuring complete alignment with our business strategy and vision whilst improving our colleague experience across MAG.

Key accountabilities include:

  • Shape and present updates on the progress against our EDI strategy to Exco and SLT as part of the People Sub Committee and other key forums
  • Create, monitor and contribute to policies and practices that underpin our stance on EDI across the organisation, ensuring compliance with the relevant UK legislation and regulations
  • Work collaboratively with the Learning and Development team to ensure we have engaging and robust EDI training in place across both leadership and colleague levels which supports the delivery of our overarching strategy
  • Develop a robust approach to continually improving the quality of EDI data we hold on colleagues, analysing this to inform strategic choices
  • Work collaboratively with the Colleague Resource Groups (CRG’s) to ensure the voice of the colleague is heard and they are maximised to drive positive change

What will make you successful in the role?

We are looking for someone who is passionate about all things EDI, a natural collaborator and an inclusive leader. You will have demonstrable experience of leading EDI/People initiatives within a large & complex organisation, with evidence of success in developing and implementing EDI strategies and programmes. You will have strong understanding of EDI principles, UK equality legislation and best practice to influence and engage stakeholders across MAG. We have a busy EDI agenda meaning you will be able to manage multiple projects effectively, whilst being to communicate at all levels using data as a key analytical tool.
