What we are looking for:
We are looking for someone who can help us on our journey to build a culture of true inclusion, and who will do so by engaging and working collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders, building relationships which inspire others’ enthusiasm, passion and proactivity for Equality, Diversity and Inclusion.
You will be an outstanding subject matter expert who will help to deliver our strategic ambition to improve the diversity of our workforce through building long-term relationships with our diverse communities, and to continue create a culture which values and respects everyone as an individual. You will also want to develop the efforts and capabilities of colleagues to champion Equality Diversity and Inclusion, in order to embed sustainable practice.
You will lead a small, dedicated and friendly team who are passionate about all aspects of equality and work hard to ensure this is delivered. This is an excellent role for someone who has the desire to make a difference and who enjoys setting strategic and cultural goals, then working with others to achieve them.
You should have:
Demonstrable experience relevant to the requirements of the role
A proven focus on engaging with others to inspire passion, commitment and action in relation to equality, diversity & inclusion
Experience of bringing about cultural change that is focused on embedding inclusion and a sense of belonging
Effective written, verbal and empathetic listening communication skills, to be able to engage most effectively with different audiences
Experience of developing, implementing and evaluating policies, procedures and action plans
