Dr. Cornell Verdeja-Woodson

Position:

Global Talent Development & Inclusion Strategist

Company:

(experience includes Pixar Animation Studios, Zillow, Google)

Bio:

Dr. Cornell Verdeja-Woodson is an organizational change leader and mindset coach for high-performing professionals who are ready to get aligned to their life’s purpose, achieve their goals, and make meaningful change. For more than a decade, he’s helped organizations, leaders and teams grow in complex, high-stakes environments. Dr. Cornell has led organizational change and talent development work across companies like Pixar, Google, Headspace, and Zillow. His approach blends research and real-world practice and leans on Expectancy-Value Theory to help individuals strengthen their belief in their ability to change and connect goals to what they truly value—so motivation lasts. Dr. Cornell pairs that with proven coaching methods and a grounded, identity-aware lens that honors lived experiences, especially for those from historically excluded groups. He lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with his husband and their two dogs, London and Rome.

Sessions:

  • Reimagining our approach to inclusion and belonging – building on successes, learning from mistakes, and fresh ideas for the future

In this session, our three speakers will each briefly share their reflections, practical experiences and offer fresh thinking on how we can ensure inclusion and fairness is baked into our organisations long-term, and is adaptable enough to weather political and economic pressures. Topics to be discussed include:

    • How decentralized inclusion structures can adapt global principles to local realities and what role can the ‘Embassy model’ play
    • The role of AI in scaling human connection rather than replacing it
    • Moving from performative actions to structural change – why we need to stop fixing and continually learn as we go
    • What is the future role of employee networks and resource groups in a decentralised approach to inclusion
    • Engaging majority groups through active listening and meaningful language

    Day: 12 May 2026

    Time: 09:35
