Bio:
Dr Bob Athwal is an award-winning industry leader with deep expertise in social mobility, culture, and graduate employability. He holds a degree in Mathematical Modelling, an Executive MBA, and a PhD focused on Social Mobility and the Graduate Labour Market.
Bob began his career as a Students’ Union President before moving into senior roles across Tesco, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, graduate-jobs.com, RWE npower, the University of Leicester, and Skyscanner.
He is co-founder of two impactful non-profits: the Global Career Services Summit, which connects higher education and industry leaders worldwide, and The 1 Hour Project, an initiative born from his doctoral research to advance social mobility through accessible career development.
A regular international conference speaker, Bob is co-author of the first UK book on Graduate Recruitment and Development. He was the first Fellow recipient of the Institute of Student Employers not to have previously served as its CEO or Chair.
