Dr. Nancy Doyle, CEO and Founder, Genius Within CIC
Nancy is a Chartered Psychologist, a Research Fellow with Birkbeck University and the CEO and founder of Genius Within CIC, a social enterprise which facilitates successful inclusion through consultancy, workshops and coaching for businesses and employees, working with people who are unemployed or incarcerated. Nancy’s lived experience of ADHD drives some of her passion, but her professional training and research drive her practice. Nancy works with businesses in finance, technology, defence, working towards a future where all neurominorities are able to maximise their potential and work to their strengths. Genius Within provides support with disability adjustment and legal compliance, recruitment, performance management and talent programs. In 2019 she was recognised by the British Psychological Society with an award for her contribution to Policy Impact in Occupational Psychology. Nancy has pioneered the work on Positive Assessment and is passionate about working towards a future where all neurominorities will be able to maximize their potential and work to their strengths using evidence-based solutions for individuals, teams and professionals. Nancy helped create and featured in both series of the award-winning BBC Two series Employable Me and syndicated in 2019 in the USA as ‘The Employables”, where she supported a group of extraordinary job seekers to unlock their own unique talents and abilities in order to secure employment. Nancy delivered her trademark positive assessments and Employable Genius group coaching as they search for work. The show has been incredibly successful in showing that neurodiversity should not be a barrier to employment and the approach form the cornerstone of Genius Within’s social inclusion and talent management work.
Jake Hobson, Trustee for Inclusion & Diversity, Dyspraxia Foundation
Jake is an experienced Diversity and Inclusion Practitioner, formerly working at EY and CBRE as part of their Diversity and Inclusion team. He was appointed as Trustee for Inclusion and Diversity at the Dyspraxia Foundation in April 2020 in a newly created position, and is responsible for developing, driving and embedding an integrated diversity strategy that meets the varying needs of people with dyspraxia and their families living across the UK. Jake was diagnosed with dyspraxia at the age of 9 years old, and uses his condition to his advantage through playing to his strengths and encourages others to reframe their own limiting beliefs of the potential of neurodiversity.
