Donna Herdsman, Award-winning Professional Services Executive and Mentor
Donna is an award-winning Executive (Empower) and mentor (First Women) who has had a varied career as an auditor, consultant, and business advisor. Now Donna supports clients in executing their diversity, equity and inclusion strategies, highlighting the lived experiences of others so together we can create a sustainable and improved future. Donna has worked with UK and overseas public sector organisations as well as global private sector entities. Working with the Board, senior leadership teams and people at every level in an organisation, Donna has focused on enabling them to deliver transformational programmes that harness the collective uniqueness of their teams – and ultimately achieve outcomes with a positive societal benefit. Donna has over 35 years’ experience as a management consultant and Executive, and has held senior roles at the London Borough of Lambeth, PriceWaterhouseCoopers, IBM, and Hewlett Packard Enterprise. Throughout this time, she’s acquired strategic, financial, commercial, operational, change management, and people development expertise. Donna’s collective experience and insights means she can work with people in a way that aligns the importance of diversity, equity and inclusion within the context of the prevailing business dynamics. Donna is also passionate about giving back and highlighting and supporting talent. She is – and has been – a judge for the Black British Business Awards for the last eight years, she’s a judge for the Baton Awards, a mentor for the Cherie Blair Women in Business Programme, and a school governor.
Neil Morrison, Group HR Director, Severn Trent
Neil’s executive career has taken him across multiple industries and sectors, including media, retail and utilities as well as the public sector. Throughout this time there has been a common thread, helping organisations, and their people, to successfully navigate change. From his early career supporting the delivery of one of the first private finance partnerships in the NHS, through the introduction of pioneering ecommerce in retail and responding to the changing retail landscape. He was one of the leads in the global merger between Penguin and Random House, the largest merger in publishing history and helped successfully navigate the rise of digital publishing and media. He is currently the Director of HR for FTSE100 water company, Severn Trent – recognised as a trailblazer company for social purpose and one of only three companies to achieve OFWAT’s fast track status. Neil has served on the board of the Chartered Institute for Personnel and Development, was one of the inaugural members of the Good Recruitment Campaign as well as advising and supporting government on a number of policies and initiatives. He writes regularly about organisations leadership and change, is a frequent media commentator and has spoken at events around the world. He has been named as one of the most influential people in HR for the last five years.

Nebel has a progressive approach to HR with an emphasis on delivering real business value and impact. Having spent a career supporting the people agenda within various organisations including River Island and Virgin, Nebel has experienced extensive business change and growth. Using modern HR practices to implement fresh ideas on; performance management, Agile working, using evidence-based practice and Tech led approaches has resulted in achieving multiple HR industry awards.
