She has over 13 years’ experience as an employment solicitor. Her specialism is in complex and high value, multi issue discrimination claims. Including claims for race and religious discrimination.
She is recognised for her expertise in the independent legal directory, Legal 500.
Homa acts for both employees and employers. Her employee clients range from company directors to junior employees. She regularly defends individuals who face discrimination at work and has secured numerous high-value settlements, often against large multinationals, including financial institutions and PLCs.
Her employer clients range from SMEs, charities and NGOs. She is frequently engaged by companies to train their managers on discrimination issues and advise on the practical steps to take to minimise the risk of workplace discrimination. Her training covers best practice for employers to adopt when recruiting, disciplining and dismissing staff.
Homa is on two standing committees for the Employment Lawyers Committee (the professional body for UK employment lawyers). She has provided a response to the government’s consultation on NDAs and workplace harassment.
