Bio:
Barry is the Head of Inclusion & Diversity for British Transport Police (BTP); joining the service in January 2007. As Head of Inclusion & Diversity his role is to lead the equality, diversity and inclusion agenda for BTP throughout England, Scotland and Wales. Barry has campaigned tirelessly for better diversity and inclusion practices in policing and was honoured to be presented with a Highly Commended ‘Julie Barnes Frank Award for Excellence in LGBT Policing’ and to be announced as the winner of the Inclusive Companies Awards ‘Diversity Champion Award’ for the Public Sector in 2018. In early 2019, Barry accepted an invitation to join the Board of Directors at the Institute of Equality & Diversity Professionals (IEDP) and is also the sitting Chair of the Tell MAMA London Advisory Board. Barry also acts as an Ethics Associate for the London Police Challenge Forum and has been a Judge for the No2H8 Crime Awards since 2017.
