Bio:
Marcia is the Equity & Inclusion Director at Channel 4. Marcia has responsibility for the strategic direction of inclusion and diversity across Channel 4 and to make sure they are 100% aligned internally and externally, and on and off screen.
The 4Inclusion team reports into Marcia and she also shares reporting responsibility for the Creative Diversity team alongside Emma Hardy who is the Director of Commissioning Operations.
Marcia is also a Trustee of the Dart Centre (Europe) for Journalism and Trauma – an organisation supporting journalists who cover violence, conflict and tragedy around the world through its network of journalists, educators, researchers and clinicians throughout Europe and beyond. Founded out of the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism in New York, the Dart Centre Europe’s mission is to improve the quality of journalism on traumatic events while raising awareness in newsrooms of the impact such coverage has on the journalists telling the stories.
Previously Marcia worked at Transport for London as their Director of Diversity, Inclusion & Talent at, an organisation with around 27,000 employees.
Over the past 30 years, she’s held senior inclusion and diversity roles with organisations including Tideway, UK Film Council, HM Treasury, various colleges of the University of London, The Bar Council, and The Law Society of England and Wales.
