Bio:
Justin is the Head of Net Zero Governance and Fiscal Events Team from The Department for Energy Security and Net Zero. He’s responsibilities cover strategic governance, fiscal events, briefing, ministerial engagement, business and corporate planning.
He leads his team on delivering the benefits outlined in the Net Zero Strategy and Powering Up Britain developing and co-ordinating ambitious new action across Government to deliver on HMG’s net zero target and on interim Carbon Budgets.
He is also a School Outreach Programme trainer, encouraging students from a diverse range of backgrounds to consider a career in the Civil Service.
He also Co-Chairs two Networks and is a school governor for two schools.
- The Civil Service Race Forum (CSRF), a collaborative group of ethnic minority Networks across the Civil Service, including Non-departmental Public Bodies, Agencies and Arms-Lengths Bodies, working to advance diversity, inclusion and equality.
- The Faith and Minority Ethnic (FAME) Network, represents staff from different ethnic backgrounds and faiths. An inclusive network, welcoming individuals who do not identify themselves as being from an ethnic background or religious group.
- Oliver Thomas Nursery School – Safeguarding lead and member of the finance committee.
- St Michael’s Catholic Primary School – Vice-Chair and deputy finance lead.
