Carys Hall

Position:

Audience Insights Intern

Company:

Channel 4

Bio:

Carys was an audience insights intern with Channel 4, from October 2025 to July 2026. She was granted this opportunity through the Thomas Pocklington Trust’s get set progress scheme. She completed and supported her team with a varied number of tasks and projects, helping the team to deliver insights and reports more accessibly, assisting with governance and documentation, and taking meeting minutes, helping to facilitate meetings.

Carys is an enthusiastic and engaging presenter. One of her proudest achievements was delivering a speech, held at the National Library for the Cilip Carnegie awards in June 2018; discussing the importance of accessible formats within literature. She particularly enjoys work that enables her to creatively and effectively communicate and problem solve, asking questions, and supporting people.

Carys graduated from the University of Chichester with a Bachelor of Music in Classical Vocal Performance, and is a keen storyteller and performer, with particular passions for English and German art song, and musical theatre. Carys is a mentor with the Charity LookUk, who support young visually impaired people and their parents. Mentors are matched with a younger mentee who they build a relationship with over a year, supporting the young people with the challenges that they might face growing up with a visual impairment, and guiding them to work towards positive goals, that enable them to live a fulfilling and positive life with a visual impairment.

Carys was born registered totally blind. She is always keen to support others, sharing her life experience, and breaking down barriers and preconceived ideas that society may have about visual impairment and disability.
